Welcome to the OnTilt Radio Council

You are about to embark on a journey into a unique experience unlike any other radio station can offer. This is the beginning of something that will forever change how an online community operates. As OnTilt Radio grows in size, content and membership; it will need a cohesive community pipeline to maintain the at home feel and handshake relationship we all strive so hard to maintain for our members. Pam and Robin created this philosophy and we are now making the practice of it a more robust experience and long lasting cornerstone of our foundation.

Below you will see how it will be structured and a brief description of some of its initial functions. Also the layout for how members will be elected will be explained. Everything you see rolling out here these last few months and all of the teasers on future programs or events, are all bricks in a foundation. The new shows, new games, new endeavors... all are specific pieces of a much larger future.We only ask that you take it seriously, have fun with it at the same time and make its function purposeful, unique and something that can be built upon. Like all the items mentioned above, the Community Council will be a living entity that will always evolve.

OnTilt Radio Community Council Basic Tenants

• Members of the OTR Executive Staff are not eligible for nomination. Any staff or host that is not member of the Board of Directors are eligible
• Executive includes (Colo, Pam, Ryan, Rosie, Jeff & SC)
  
• Two offices will be initially formed. The Council Chairman and the Council Vice-Chairman
• More Council positions can be added as the community grows
• Council members will be nominated, then elected by the community.
• Position Terms will last for Six Months from the final election day, next term's election process begins in the third month of each term
• Council Chairman will be the direct community liaison to the OTR Staff and The Chief Communications Officer will be the Staff liaison to the community
• The exact function of the council and its influence will not be completed until the inaugural members are elected. The CCO and the elected individuals will outline those functions and implement them as designed.
• Council Members will have inside access to certain sections of the OTR.com domain

Nomination & Election Period

To nominate a member of the community to be the voice of your "OnTilt Radio Generation", simply place one name in the comment section below. You may also say why you think they would make the best choice for all. The top four nominations will move to the election process. Assuming they are interested in participating, the next names down the list will move on if not.

To ensure that this generation of OTR is ready and willing for this experience and wishes to take it seriously to help it grow, if a significant number of the community does not participate, we will scrap it and wait until another time.

Nominations will end on August 1st, 2011. Once the nominees are set, the election process will begin. There will be two phases to the election format and will be detailed as we near the end of the nomination process.

Final Election Night will be on will coincide with a monumental moment at OnTilt Radio that will shake this community to its core! The Council will have intricate involvement in this moment. Complete details on that and the whole Community Council Experince will be unveiled as the summer wanes into autumn! Those of us on the OnTilt Radio Exectutive Staff are very excited to see how our community handles this pretigiuous and groundbreaking opportunity. But only if you are ready!
