You stress that it is important to raise pots that you have decided are worth playing, in order to narrow the field and gain information.   If there are one or more players at the table who reraise all-in to discourage this action, they now have the advantage and you are left with deciding whether or not to go with a coin flip.  If they commonly do this, how can you best take advantage of this behavior?

You've noted that Professor Birdwhistell says that 50% of all human communication is nonverbal.   It is easy to see how this can be helpful face-to-face at poker tables.   What is available in online poker besides a player's time-to-act, which may be influenced by a network delay or even by a simple interruption on the other players part that is unknown to you?    Is a quick time-to-act a more reliable indicator than a slow time-to-act?   Are there any other clues you can use?

The winner of the 9:05PM OTR Tournament at Luvin tonight (Wednesday, Sept 28th) will receive a copy of Annie's newest book - Decide to Play Great Poker: A Strategy Guide to No-Limit Texas hold' em.

************************************************************************************************

This book lays out a revolutionary conceptual framework for no-limit hold 'em based on understanding your purpose for every bet during every hand of every sessions of poker you ever play again. Rather than hard-and-fast rules, "Decide to Play Great Poker" provides tools to gain enough information about your opponents to know how to beat them.
