Back From Vegas Baby !!, Part 2

My adventures at Sam's Town, Boulder Station & Santa Fe Station:

These are all locals casinos, away from the Strip. Why would I play out there? one word......BINGO. That's what my wife likes to play so......you get the idea.

Sam's Town is owned by the Boyd Group/Coast Casinos. It was one of the first casinos I played Poker in when my wife & I started going to Vegas regularly over 20 years ago. It had a very western theme back…

Back From Vegas Baby !!

Made it back in one piece from a week in Vegas. Time Flew by way too fast. Played in many tournaments at many casinos at many different levels. Played a few cash tables as well, but not nearly as much as usual.

Over the coming weeks, I'll recap & review Poker Rooms, Tournaments & more from Casinos including: The Venetian, The Orleans, Aria, Hard Rock Hotel, Green Valley Ranch (Station), Santa Fe Station, Boulder Station, Sam's Town, Red Rock and Fiesta…

OMAHA - Simplified (Kind of)

Well Here Goes....

Omaha is a great game (actually a family of games)

It can be Omaha Hi which can be played limit, no limit or Pot Limit (Referred to as PLO) Pot limit is the most common, Limit is found in live ring games, No limit is rare.

It can also be Omaha Hi/Lo (also referred to as Omaha eight or better, O8, etc.) Don't be scared by the low combination, it plays just like Omaha Hi, just there is the possibility of a split pot. More about that…
