Our goal is to raise close to $450 so we can bring video of the racing action to OTR and hopefully add to the enjoyment of the OTR liseners when Dj (driver of the 22- age 13) and Hans (driver of the 02 - age 10) are on the OTR airwaves.

Everybody that has known me here at OTR for the many years I have been here knows that I am a person who has always done for others when i can , without any expectations in return. That is what makes this so hard for me to do.

On Saturday May 26th the boys and their cars will be at Seekonk Speedway as part of the yearly hometown heros promotion http://seekonkspeedway.com/schedules/hometown-hero-series

The cars will be on display on the front stretch fan area.  DJ and Hans will be signing autographs and explaining to the fans about their cars and how it feels to be racing at the speedway at such a young age.

Yesterday the track decided to have an extra practice for all the minicup drivers. We got the call on Wensday telling us about this. We were not going to attend due to Karena's 1st B-Day party that day and also we are trying to save money while we look for a replacement sponcer/advertiser.

With less than 2 weeks before the official start of the 2012 Fast Fridays points season at Seekonk Speedway we have a few things to update for our Otr folowers.

Lets start with the good news first, Both cars and drivers are ready to run, engines are back from being sealed, both cars are setup and fast. Last October I entered a WSOP Circuit event in Hammond, Indiana and did okay for a tiring old man. Even though the location is not ideal, the experience was exhilarating.

Hello I'm fairly new to OTR and to poker at this level. 

    What a great community that has gathered here at On Tilt Radio. Great information, fun and personal radio shows where you might even hear you best, or worst, hand commented on at anytime. The support for charities and other deserving causes is second to none.

I was exploring the site and found the blog section. Low and behold I can write my own blog!

So i thought i would give it a go. But what would my subject…

It was another long day at the track, we had our problems but all in all it was a good day.

The day started with both cars developing fuel leaks due to a bad batch of fuel lines. With new lines installed it was time ti hit the track.

As for Hans in the 02, his first time out for the day he bumped another car and lost the zues fasteners that hold the body on, a couple of laps later his fiberglass car body went air born and crashed down onto the track. A roll of duct tape…

Funny how three hours of poker can reduce life stresses, especially when all the players were having fun and I won a little "mon". Sat down for the Early Bird, $30 buy-in, 4000 chips MTT (RCG, Astoria Banquets). Approximately 90 runners ponied up. I was card dead throughout and down to 8bb when I pushed under the gun with A-9c, only to run into two players with pocket Kings. Lasted a whole 45 minutes. Grabbed a beer and took a call from DP, my buddy, who wanted me to put him on the 1-2 list.…
