First we would like to thank Ontilt Radio, thier owners, staff, and members for you contiued support during DCW Motorsports 2011 race season. We would like to give a special thanks to Gator for having Dj jr on the radio and helping him work threw his problems with speaking in public .

Next we need to thank all of our advertisers (without you we would not be able to continue in this sport we love)

Ontilt Radio, MD Cabinetry, MPE Racing, Lenords Performance, Fast Lane auto body, Mento Enterprises, Triple D Enterprises, and DCW Cabinetry and Finish Carpentry. We also need to give a big THANK YOU to the Dion family, your help, knowledge, and ability to teach an old dog new tricks has been invaluable.

Now for some 2011 stats,

Dj drove the #22 to a 4th place points finish, this is 4th of 16 drivers and a 5 position improvement over his 9th place finish in 2010

His average qualifying finish was 3rd

His average main finish was 5th

His fastest lap around the 1/3 mile high banked oval was 16.2 at an average speed of 74 mph

On Sept 8th he took his first victory lap but was dqed due to a tech infraction, but now he knows he can win and how to do it , for us this is a major goal met

Its the off season now but that don't mean that we stop working because its only 5 short months before race season starts again. Right now we have Djs car listed for sale, we will leave it up for sale until Nov 4th when we have our 2012 rules meeting.

For 2012  DCW Motorsports will become a 2 car team, with DJ driving the #22 (he will be 13years old and this will be his 3rd season on the track) and his brother Hans driving the #02 (he will be 10 years old and this will be his rookie season )

If Djs car sells we will build a new car using the bare chassis we have prepped , this will take between 400-500 man hours to complete, if his car don't sell we will strip all the parts off of it, clean them, inspect them, replace anything that looks questionable, and put them on the new chassis, this will take 600-800 man hours.

Hans car just needs to be nut and bolted which is checking to make sure nothing is loose ,bent or binding. the reason this car needs such little work is because it was only driven once on the 8th by Dj and does not have a season of stress on it.

The last thing we need to do is approach advertisers, old and new to see if they are interested in the 2012 season, the reason this is so important is because of the cost of running a season, while these cars may be 1/2 scale fully suspended Nascar race cars, Parts cost the same or more than thier full size counterparts. The cost to run a full season is about $2500 per car, this does not include the cost of building or buying a car and does not allow for any major wrecks of malfunctions.

ONCE AGAIN, THANK YOU OTR, WE WILL TRY TO KEEP YOU UPDATED DURING THE OFF SEASON AND WILL BE BACK TO THE TRACK IN APRIL 2012

Well we sold Djs car, and picked up his new car the other day, it is a newer type chassis that allows for even finer tuning, Hans will be driving the car that Dj won the DAV race with. when i talk about car it means every thing under the body, the body is just a fiberglass shell that is held onto the car by 4 bolts, this allows us to change the outer look of the car easily

Danny we would love to have the OTR staff and any of the local OTR members come to a race, but I warn in advanced, It's addictive ! we now have people in the stands weekly who had never been to a race track but came once to see Dj race and it has become a weekly night out for them. This is truly a family sport, a family race team and we are proud that OTR is part of the family

What a great season and a 1st for OTR to become involved with such a great family of racers. OTR thanks you for letting us become involved in the racing world, with you and Lil DJ's help I learned so much about the sport.  I looked forward to every Friday and Monday night to hear updates on how our Lil DJ did with fingers crossed that all would be ok over the weekend and he made it around the track safe.. Have a safe season off.. and we look forward to many more memorable races with our favorite Team of Racers... vroom vroom
