 Arky's Fettuccine Alfredo
Only eat this a couple times a year. It's heart attack on a plate.
I don't measure anything. Takes about 15-20 minutes.
Ingredients
A package of fettuccine noodles
Small can of Parmesan cheese
1 stick of butter (I used Danish or other Euro brand)*
A touch of olive oil
1/2 pint whipping cream*
1 pint of half & half*
A touch of garlic if you wish
-Cook the fettucine noodles re instructions. Set aside.
-Melt the butter & olive oil in a big pan. Heat on low.
-Slowly add whipping cream
-Slowly add half & half
-Sprinkle in Parmesan cheese
-Stir,stir stir. Ladle over the noodles add a little fresh ground pepper.
 Presto, your done. Enjoy!
*You probably won't use the entire contents of "liquids". Depends on how
many you're serving. Do the Rachael Ray thing and eyeball to the consistency
you want. Of course you can use much smaller amounts but then it won't be
as rich.

I'm glad you liked it SlickChick. It's not quite as good left over after refrigeration but if you take a pic, the best heart docs in the world will display it as clogged arteries. P.S. We always make the Texas toast too. Might as well go all the way!! Thanks

OMG... I made this tonight and I have to say it is the best dam alfredo sauce I have ever had... I doubled the recipe and have plenty to feed the whole dam neighborhood...

This is what I did:

2 sticks of butter

1/4 cup olive oil

1Tbs  minced garlic

salt and pepper to taste

2 cups of whipping cream

4 cups of half and half

3 1/2 cups of parmasan cheese

2 bags of shrimp

I also made toasted  french bread garlic &  parmasan cheese bread to mop up any left over sauce.

Thanks for this recipe.. it was the best.. I could only eat a little bowl .. I didn't want a heart attack tonight  LOL  but my gawd man  this is awesome~!!!
