I doubt I would be speaking out of turn if I said the Fellas did not take the Ladies to school this week! The Boys pitched two or three shutouts (I lost track) and littered the Top 5 all week! The Gals even had a few players start each night with extra chips! (That's done by the way) It wasn't all bad for the Ladies, they kept it somewhat close and even had a shot to argue for a tie this week until Caliguy logged in! He was by far the big man on campus the whole week. I hear he is gone this week so the Fellas may need to find a new horse.

 

A mixture of Omaha & Holdem won the weekly poll by one vote over the same game variety as this past week. That means to me they both win really, kinda of the same premise. Therefore this week will look similar to last week with a few changes.

Games have are located in the Tourney/All or Tourney/Regular Tab at Duke. They will Now start at :05 Past the Hour (i.e. 9:05PM EST) Late registration is now 65 Minutes to give any last minute slackers  the table break time to still get in!

Since you all are clamoring for every kind of poker game there is, we are doing our best to accommodate. Please be aware that with different games come different limits on the various rules that make up a game of cards. That means that every night blinds, table sizes, along with our own twists will change from night to night. THE BEST WAY TO BE IN THE LOOP IS TO LOOK AT THE TOURNAMENT LOBBY! All your questions should be answered there!

Game #1 Recap: The Ladies called on Rosie to help take the Boys to task last night! With two Gals in the Top 5 and  a short field, I think we can give em the win. Way to go Ladies! This seems oddly familiar, hope they can keep it up. Scroll down for the Top Deuces.

 

Game #2 Recap: The HORSE night came and went and now all we are left with is a foul smell! Maybe its gunner. Whatever it is, its not powerful enough to cancel pout the sour odor of defeat. The Fellas tossed yet another shut out! After two games we're back to even for the week and back to NL Holdem! Five more games to go. Top Deuces below!

 

Game #3 Recap: Looks like the Fellas are back in business clearing for of the top five spots. Rosie was the only wrench in another shutout and also got her self some extra cabbage for the finale!. Why does that not surprise me? The poll on whether or not a few fellas should be able to play for the ladies is currently 13-9 in favor of Yes. So....... even though it doesn't make it a true battle of the sexes anymore, we'll let it slide. Especially seeing as the #1 vote getter was "Yes, but they will be subject to endless ridicule from the other fellas." That's paraphrasing but you get the point and all the more reason to let some boys be girls. I wonder who will make the jump! The I'm Not A Top Deuce Freeroll is now open for registration. Game #4 Recap: CNC was the ladies first convert last night but it did little to help their standing. The fellas almost put up yet another shutout! I think the ladies may need to start looking elsewhere for help. My suggestion is to go on a hunt gals, go and find you more butts to knock out these pesky fellas! I know there are plenty of ladies out there! Some familiar faces in the Top Deuces and a newcomer to the ranks. Check below for all four!

 

Game #5 & 5A Recap: It would appear the shootout was well received and will be a new addition to our revolving game schedules. See... new stuff is good sometimes. WHAT a Friday night it was with two games, The Bickersons on air and a couple gender bending dudettes. Pam even let slip a sneak peek of Sunday's State of the Union. Gunner and CNC crossed the picket lines and scabbed it up with the broads on Friday and wouldn't you know, one of them actually helped out. Everyone congratulate Mrs. Gunner on her first lady Top Deuce appearance. We saw some old faces return to the felt as well like Trollmax and I even heard there was a Bat27 sighting. Ironically, Bat27 has yet to make a Top Deuce appearance. Still two chances at the tables to win a ticket to the finale and we will also be handing out special selections all weekend long. Saturday Qualifiers: Two games remain to qualify and they are good ones. 1st game of the day is the NL Holdem Bounty game, yeeeehaaaaa... then later as the clock strikes twelve, we go Mono y Mono! Last chance to qualify at the tables will be the Heads Up Game! If that wasn't enough, don't forget SirSlapee's Birthday Game tonight nestled snug between the qualifiers, should be a ton of fun.

All in all I think the Battle of the Sexes month is going off without a hitch and we have all of you to thank for that. I am a little worried our ladies may end up with no chance for redemption. Another weekly loss and they can kiss any hope of claiming the title goodbye! Maybe we will have to find some interesting ways to help them out! The already got rid of Cali for a week possibly!
