Below is a email I sent out today to all my Govt Reps. Don't know what will come of it, but at least him doing some thing.
Hello Sir, I would like to know if you have any public statement on the most resent crack down on Online Poker and the DOJ seized of the top 3 online poker sites. I got to say this is very bad for our online poker industry. We welcome you to come on air with us at www.ontiltradio.com, we are a online "Only" poker talk radio. I just wish that the USA Govt can come to some kind of regulation on this issue very soon, there is a ton of tax money that can be made for our country. I have to say that right now I have no respect for the US govt, there is just to many things going wrong these days, and I am really concerned about where our country is going. We already have so many ways for US citizens to gamble there money away, Like state lotteries, bingo halls, our stock market, these days is a big time gamble, dog/horse tracks, brink and mortar Casinos, So when i hear that Online poker is gambling, is crazy. When I hear that online poker players are in the same group with child abusers, now that really makes be mad. There are so many poker players that are very good people and yes I may agree that some just might have a gambling problem, but so do people that like to drink, do drugs, sex addiction and shopping. There are Help programs in place right now for these people, it would be up to them to get the help needed and not the Govt to tell us what we can or can't do. It's our hard earned money, so "WE THE POKER PEOPLE", should have the right to play online poker and us spend our money as we choose.

I just want to add some more of my thoughts on the issue, we all need to get involved, it is time to let our Govt know that we will not stand for this. That is still one of our rights, the freedom of speech and I challenge each and every one of you from all around the world to speech up. This take over of the top 3 online poker sites is just a start and im sure there will be other country's to follow the US poker crack down and take over. Yes there may have been some laws broken from these sites, but think about it "WHY WAS THAT", well its because the US Govt refuses to get involve in a good why and regulate the online poker industry and make is a US business and regulated it just like any other business. Poker is played everywhere in the world, Online and live in the Casinos.
I seen a video, where this guy was saying that online poker players are in the same group with child abusers and that real pissed me off. How can he put poker players in the same group with child abusers, that is so crazy to hear this kind of BS. As you may have heard in the past that our own Govt has also labeled us, poker players as, drug dealers, running whore houses and funding terrorist. Well I can say that have not and have never thought about playing poker to use my winnings to fund any terrorists, So maybe the Govt should keep the pressure on going after the terrorist and not wast there time and money going after poker players.Let's face it the USA GOVT is going broke, how are they going to pay for this.
Poker has generated so much money for the country already, just by the TV shows, Poker on ESPN, TV advertisement revenue by sponsors. Ok so now what ESPN is already talking about pulling poker off there TV network, so now how much Tax money is going to be lost? Now they will be losing all the money paid advertisements and sponsors. Im sure ESPN pays there taxes on all money made, so they will be paying much less now, because they will be losing millions of dollars of income. So in the long run that's Tax money that the Govt is not getting and that is all legal income. Jobs are being taken away, OOPS more tax money being lost.
I can go on and on, so for now I will end it here with one last statement, STAND UP AND FIGHT FOR OUR RIGHT TO PLAY ONLINE POKER "WE THE POKER PEOPLE"
Got a reply today May 6th for one on my state Senators, and would like to share it with you.
Thank you for contacting me regarding the regulation of online poker. I appreciate hearing from you on this issue.
As you know, the U.S. House of Representatives recently introduced the Internet Gambling Regulation, Consumer Protection, and Enforcement Act (H.R.1174), to license online gambling activities, enhance consumer protections on the internet and provide for a gaming tax – each of which would legitimate the industry for legal purposes. This bill has been referred to the U.S House of Representatives Subcommittee on Financial Institutions and Consumer Credit for review. While similar legislation has not been introduced in the U.S. Senate, please know that I will keep your views in mind if this House bill comes before the full Senate for consideration.
I will continue to listen closely to what you and other Coloradans have to say about matters before Congress, the concerns of our communities, and the issues facing Colorado and the nation.
