This week racing was rough, as most who have seen the videos know, practice went well , qualifing was good , and many were able to watch the races live via the OTR ustream,
In the 20 lap main Hans in the 02 started 9th and Dj in the 22 started 12th. From the drop of the green flag Dj was moving forward and by lap 7 was in 5th place Hans was running in 10th, During a pass on lap 7 there was contact between Dj and the 1car , Dj spun and was t-boned by the 12 car at about 70 mph, both cars were totaled in the wreck.Hans barely missed being involved, Hans had a good night after that finishing 7th.
Here are vidios of the race and wreck,

Now for a time line of the last few days
Friday 6-8, 22 car gets totaled, we bring it home and onto a lift in the driveway
Saturday 6-9 , everything is stripped off old chassis, new chassis is put on lift, steering rack, upper and lower front control arms are installed, front spindles are installed, rear cradle , axle and panhard bar is installed, 4 coilover shocks are installed, engine was in place and 4 tires are mounted, (WOOHOO, in one day we have a roller
Sunday 6-10, brake lines and wiring is installed, seat is fitted and tin work is completed on the chassis.
Monday 6-11, seat is bolted in, 5 point racing harness is bolted in, window nets are installed
Tuesday 6-12 , the most important part of any racecar is setup, at 3:30 we headed to Scott Dions garage, he is doing all the setup in the OTR/DCW racecars, WE set, caster, camber , bumpsteer, toe in, squared the wheels with the chassis, scaled and placed the lead weights were we wanted them, at 11pm we were finished and based on the fact that the cars numbers are all identacle to the car that was wrecked, it should only take a few minor adjustments (if any) during practice to get the car perfect
Wensday 6-13, finish bolting lead, bolt bumpers, breed brakes, patch body
In 5 days we went from being totaled to being race ready with a newly built car, this is a unheard of feat, especially when 75% of this was done by a 13 year old boy!!!!!!!
We need to thank Papa, Jake, Brandon,Scott,Sean,Joey for their help and most of all my lovely wife Karen for supporting us and being so understanding about the amount of hours that were spent in the garage this week.
here are some pictures of his handy work
